First Reading: ROM 7:18-25A

读经一（谁能救我脱离这该死的肉身呢？）

恭读圣保禄宗徒致罗马人书 7:18-25

 

Brothers and sisters: I know that good does not dwell in me, that is, in my flesh. The willing is ready at hand, but doing the good is not.

弟兄们：我知道，善不在我内，即不在我的肉性内，因为我有心行善，但实际上却不能行善。

 

For I do not do the good I want, but I do the evil I do not want.

因此，我所愿意的善，我不去行；而我所不愿意的恶，我却去作。

 

Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

但我所不愿意的，我若去作，那么已不是我作那事，而是在我内的罪恶。

 

So, then, I discover the principle that when I want to do right, evil is at hand. For I take delight in the law of God, in my inner self,

所以，我发现这条规律：就是我愿意为善的时候，总有邪恶依附着我。因为照我的内心，我是喜悦天主的法律；

 

but I see in my members another principle at war with the law of my mind, taking me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

可是，我发觉在我的肢体内，另有一条法律，与我理智所赞同的法律交战，并把我掳去，叫我隶属于那在我肢体内的罪恶的法律。

 

Miserable one that I am! Who will deliver me from this mortal body? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

我这个人真不幸呀！谁能救我脱离这该死的肉身呢？感谢天主，藉着我们的主耶稣基督。

Let your kindness comfort me according to your promise to your servants.

领：请照你对你仆人的许诺，按你的仁慈来安慰我。

【答】：上主，求你教我你的规矩。

 

Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight.

领：愿你的仁爱临于我，使我生活，因为你的法律就是我的喜乐。

【答】：上主，求你教我你的规矩。

 

Never will I forget your precepts, for through them you give me life.

领：我永远不会忘记你的法令，因为你藉此赐我生命。

I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts.

领：我全属于你，求你救拔我，因为我寻求了你的约法。

Gospel : Lk 12:54-59

福音（你们知道观察地理和天象，怎么不能观察这个时机呢？）

恭读圣路加福音 12:54-59

 

Jesus said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain–and so it does;

那时候，耶稣向群众说：“几时你们看见云彩由西方升起，立刻就说，要下大雨了；果然是这样。

 

and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot–and so it is.

几时南风吹来，就说，天气会热了；果然是这样。

 

You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time?

假善人哪！你们知道观察地上及天上的气象，怎么不能观察这个时机呢？

 

Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right? If you are to go with your opponent before a magistrate, make an effort to settle the matter on the way;

你们为什么不能由自己来辨别正义的事呢？当你同你的对头去见官长时，尚在路上，你得设法与他了结，

 

otherwise your opponent will turn you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the constable, and the constable throw you into prison.

怕他拉你到法官前，判官把你交给刑役，而刑役把你押在狱中。

 

I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.”

我告诉你：非等你还清最后的一分钱，断不能从那里出来。”
