First Reading: ROM 8:26-30

读经一（天主使一切都协助那些爱他的人，获得益处。）

恭读圣保禄宗徒致罗马人书 8:26-30

 

Brothers and sisters: The Spirit comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes with inexpressible groanings.

弟兄们：圣神扶助我们的软弱，因为我们不知道我们如何祈求才对，圣神却亲自以无可言喻的叹息，代我们转求。

 

And the one who searches hearts knows what is the intention of the Spirit, because he intercedes for the holy ones according to God's will.

那洞悉心灵的天主知道圣神的意愿是什么，因为他是按照天主的旨意代圣徒转求。

 

We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

而且我们也知道：天主使一切都协助那些爱他的人，就是他照自己的旨意所召叫的人，获得益处，

 

For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

因为他所预选的人，也预定他们与自己儿子的肖像相同，好使他儿子在众多弟兄中作长子。

 

And those he predestined he also called; and those he called he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified.

天主不但召叫了他所预定的人，而且也使他所召叫的人成义，并使成义的人，分享他的光荣。

R. My hope, O Lord, is in your mercy.

【答】：上主，我信赖你的爱怜。

 

Look, answer me, O LORD, my God! Give light to my eyes that I may not sleep in death lest my enemy say, "I have overcome him"; lest my foes rejoice at my downfall.

领：上主，我的天主！求你垂顾我，应允我；赐我眼目明亮，别让我沉睡丧亡，免得我的仇人说：“我已战胜了他！”免得我跌倒之时，敌人欢欣若狂。

 

R. My hope, O Lord, is in your mercy.

【答】：上主，我信赖你的爱怜。

 

Though I trusted in your mercy, Let my heart rejoice in your salvation; let me sing of the LORD, "He has been good to me."

领：但我却仰赖你的慈爱，我的心灵因你的救援而欢乐，我要向厚待我的上主呕歌。

 

R. My hope, O Lord, is in your mercy.

【答】：上主，我信赖你的爱怜。

 

Gospel Lk 13:22-30

福音（人从东南西北前来参加天国的宴会。）

恭读圣路加福音 13:22-30

 

Jesus passed through towns and villages, teaching as he went and making his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, "Lord, will only a few people be saved?"

那时候，耶稣经过城市和乡村，随处施教，朝着耶路撒冷走去。有一个人问他说：“主！得救的人果然不多吗？”

 

He answered them, "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough.

耶稣对众人说：“你们竭力由窄门而入吧！因为将有许多人，我告诉你们：想要进去，而不得进入。

 

After the master of the house has arisen and locked the door, then will you stand outside knocking and saying, 'Lord, open the door for us.'

及至家主起来把门关上，你们在外面站着，开始敲门说：主！请给我们开门吧！

 

He will say to you in reply, 'I do not know where you are from.' And you will say, 'We ate and drank in your company and you taught in our streets.'

他要回答你们说：我不认识你们是从那里来的。那时，你们会说：我们曾在你面前吃过喝过；你也曾在我们的街市上教导过人。

 

Then he will say to you, 'I do not know where you are from. Depart from me, all you evildoers!'

他要说：我告诉你：我不认识你们是从那里来的；你们这些作恶的人，离开我去吧！

 

And there will be wailing and grinding of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God and you yourselves cast out.

几时你们看见亚巴郎、依撒格、雅各伯及众先知在天主的国里，你们却被抛弃在外，那里要有哀号和切齿。

 

And people will come from the east and the west and from the north and the south and will recline at table in the Kingdom of God.

将有从东从西，从北从南而来的人，在天主的国里坐席。

 

For behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last."

看吧！有最后的将成为最先的，也有最先的将成为最后的。”
