First Reading: ROM 8:31B-39

读经一（任何受造物都不能使我们与天主的爱相隔绝。）

恭读圣保禄宗徒致罗马人书 8:31-39

 

Brothers and sisters: If God is for us, who can be against us? He did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him?

弟兄们：若是天主偕同我们，谁能反对我们呢？他既然没有怜惜自己的儿子，反而为我们众人把他交出了，岂不也把一切与他一同赐给我们吗？

 

Who will bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who acquits us. Who will condemn?

谁能控告天主所拣选的人呢？是使人成义的天主吗？谁能定他们的罪？

 

It is Christ Jesus who died, rather, was raised, who also is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us.

是那已死或更好说已复活，现今在天主右边，代我们转求的基督耶稣吗？

 

What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword?

那么，谁能使我们与基督的爱隔绝呢？是困苦吗？是窘迫吗？是迫害吗？是饥饿吗？是赤贫吗？是危险吗？是刀剑吗？

 

As it is written: For your sake we are being slain all the day; we are looked upon as sheep to be slaughtered.

正如经上所载：‘为了你，我们整日被置于死地，人将我们视作待宰的群羊。’

 

No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us.

然而，靠着那爱我们的主，我们在这一切事上，大获全胜，

 

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers,

因为我深信：无论是死亡，是生活，是天使，是掌权者，是现存的或将来的事物，是有权能者，

 

nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

是崇高或深远的势力，或其他任何受造之物，都不能使我们与天主的爱相隔绝，即是与我们的主基督耶稣之内的爱相隔绝。

Do you, O GOD, my Lord, deal kindly with me for your name's sake; in your generous mercy rescue me; For I am wretched and poor, and my heart is pierced within me.

领：上主，为了你的名，求你善待我；天主，求你按照你的仁爱和善良，拯救我！我原来贫穷可怜，我的心哀伤悲痛。

 

R.  Save me, O Lord, in your mercy.

【答】：上主，求你按照你的慈爱拯救我。

 

Help me, O LORD, my God; save me, in your mercy, And let them know that this is your hand; that you, O LORD, have done this.

领：上主，我的天主，求你扶助我，求你按照你的慈爱拯救我，让人知道这是你手的工程，上主，这的确是你的所作所为。

【答】：上主，求你按照你的慈爱拯救我。

 

I will speak my thanks earnestly to the LORD, and in the midst of the throng I will praise him, For he stood at the right hand of the poor man, to save him from those who would condemn his soul.

领：我要亲口歌颂上主，要在亿万人中赞美他，因他站在穷苦人的右边，拯救他们脱离仇敌的裁判。

 

R.  Save me, O Lord, in your kindness.

【答】：上主，求你按照你的慈爱拯救我。

 

Gospel LK 13:31-35

福音（先知不应死在耶路撒冷外。）

恭读圣路加福音 13:31-35

 

Some Pharisees came to Jesus and said, "Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you."

那时候，有几个法利塞人前来对耶稣说：“你离开这里走吧！因为黑落德要杀你。”

 

He replied, "Go and tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.

耶稣对他们说：“你们去告诉这个狐狸吧！看，我今天明天驱逐魔鬼，第三天就要完毕。

 

Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day, for it is impossible that a prophet should die outside of Jerusalem.

但是，今天明天以及后天，我必须前行，因为先知不宜死在耶路撒冷之外。

 

Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearned to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were unwilling!

耶路撒冷！耶路撒冷！你屡次残杀先知，用石块击毙那些奉命到你这里来的人；我多少次愿意聚集你的子女，如母鸡聚集自己的小鸡在牠翅翼下，可是你们偏不愿意。

 

Behold, your house will be abandoned. But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

看吧！你们的家园将成废墟；但我告诉你们：你们断不能再看见我，直到你们说：因主名而来的，当受赞颂的时刻来到。
