读经一（红海里开出一条无阻的道路﹐他们跳跃有如羔羊。）

恭读智慧篇 18:14-16;19:6-9

 

When peaceful stillness compassed everything and the night in its swift course was half spent, Your all-powerful word, from heaven's royal throne bounded,

万籁俱寂，黑夜已奔驰一半路程时，你全能的圣言，由天上的王座，

 

a fierce warrior, into the doomed land, bearing the sharp sword of your inexorable decree. And as he alighted, he filled every place with death;

如无情的战士，降到这应毁灭的地上，带着你不可收回的成命当作利剑，上触高天，下踏大地，立在那里，使各处充满死亡。

 

he still reached to heaven, while he stood upon the earth. For all creation, in its several kinds, was being made over anew, serving its natural laws, that your children might be preserved unharmed.

因此，那时，各样的受造物，按自己的本性，再重新受造，遵从你的命令，护卫你的子女，不受伤害。

 

The cloud overshadowed their camp; and out of what had before been water, dry land was seen emerging: Out of the Red Sea an unimpeded road, and a grassy plain out of the mighty flood.

于是有云彩遮蔽营幕，先前有水的地方，露出旱地，红海里开出一条无阻的道路，巨涛中出现了一片青草地，

 

Over this crossed the whole nation sheltered by your hand, after they beheld stupendous wonders.

你的全体百姓在你亲手掩护之下，由那里经过，看到了奇妙的神迹。

 

For they ranged about like horses, and bounded about like lambs, praising you, O Lord! their deliverer.

他们有如牧场上牧放的小马，跳跃有如羔羊，赞美你 ── 拯救他们的上主。

Sing to him, sing his praise, proclaim all his wondrous deeds. Glory in his holy name; rejoice, O hearts that seek the LORD!

领：请众歌颂他，咏赞他，传述他的奇工妙化。请你们以他的圣名为光荣，愿寻求上主的人，乐满心中！

 

R. Remember the marvels the Lord has done!

【答】：请你们记念上主所行的奇迹。

 

Then he struck every first born throughout their land, the first fruits of all their manhood. And he led them forth laden with silver and gold, with not a weakling among their tribes.

领：他打击境内所有的头胎，将强壮的长子全部杀害。他率领满携金银的以色列离去，各支派中没有一个人残缺。

 

R. Remember the marvels the Lord has done!

【答】：请你们记念上主所行的奇迹。

 

For he remembered his holy word to his servant Abraham. And he led forth his people with joy; with shouts of joy, his chosen ones.

领：他没有遗忘他的神圣许诺，并且也常怀念他的仆人亚巴郎。他引百姓欢乐地离去，他率领选民欣然出走。

【答】：请你们记念上主所行的奇迹。

 

Gospel Lk 18:1-8

福音（天主召选的人日夜呼求他，他岂能不为他们伸冤。）

恭读圣路加福音 18:1-8

 

Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary.

那时候，耶稣给门徒设了一个比喻，论及人应当时常祈祷，不要灰心。

 

He said, "There was a judge in a certain town who neither feared God nor respected any human being.

他说：“某城中曾有一个判官不敬畏天主，也不敬重人。

 

And a widow in that town used to come to him and say, 'Render a just decision for me against my adversary.'

在那城中另有一个寡妇，常去见他说：请你制裁我的对头，为我伸冤吧！

 

For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, 'While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being,

判官多次不肯；以后想道：我虽不敬畏天主，也不敬重人，

 

because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.'"

只是因为这个寡妇常来烦扰我，我要为她伸冤，免得她不断的来纠缠我。

 

The Lord said, "Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them?

于是主说：你们听听这个不义的判官说了什么！天主听到他所召选的人日夜呼吁，能不为他们伸冤吗？他会延迟俯听他们吗？

 

I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?"

我告诉你们：他必要快快为他们伸冤，但是，人子来临时，能在世上找到这样的信德吗？”
