Sixth Sunday of Easter

First Reading: ACTS 15:1-2, 22-29

读经一（圣神和我们决定，不再加给你们什么重担。）

Some who had come down from Judea were instructing the brothers, "Unless you are circumcised according to the Mosaic practice, you cannot be saved."

那时候，有从犹太下来的几个人，教训弟兄们说：“如果你们不按梅瑟的惯例，接受割损，不能得救。”

 

Because there arose no little dissension and debate by Paul and Barnabas with them, it was decided that Paul, Barnabas, and some of the others should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.

保禄和巴尔纳伯，遂同他们发生不少争执和辩论。大家就指定保禄和巴尔纳伯，与他们中的几个人，上耶路撒冷，去见宗徒和长老，讨论这问题。

 

The apostles and elders, in agreement with the whole church, decided to choose representatives and to send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas.

当时，宗徒和长老同全教会决定，从他们当中选几个人，派他们同保禄和巴尔纳伯，去安提约基雅。

 

The ones chosen were Judas, who was called Barsabbas, and Silas, leaders among the brothers.

所派的，有号称巴尔撒巴的犹达和息拉，是弟兄中的领导人物。

 

This is the letter delivered by them: "The apostles and the elders, your brothers, to the brothers in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia of Gentile origin: greetings.

他们带去的信如下：“宗徒和众长老弟兄，问候在安提约基雅、叙利亚和基里基雅，由外邦归化的众弟兄。

 

Since we have heard that some of our number who went out without any mandate from us have upset you with their teachings and disturbed your peace of mind,

我们听说，有几个从我们这里去的，而并非我们所派去的人，讲话扰乱你们，混乱了你们的心。

 

we have with one accord decided to choose representatives and to send them to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, who have dedicated their lives to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

我们取得同意后，决定拣选几个人，派他们同我们可爱的巴尔纳伯和保禄，到你们那里去。他们两人，为了我们主耶稣基督的名，已付出了自己的性命。

 

So we are sending Judas and Silas who will also convey this same message by word of mouth:

我们派犹达和息拉去，他们要亲口报告同样的事。

 

'It is the decision of the Holy Spirit and of us not to place on you any burden beyond these necessities,

因为圣神和我们决定，不再加给你们什么重担，除了这几项重要的事：

 

namely, to abstain from meat sacrificed to idols, from blood, from meats of strangled animals, and from unlawful marriage.

即不要吃祭过邪神的食物、血和窒死的牲畜，并戒避奸淫。

 

If you keep free of these, you will be doing what is right.  Farewell.'"

如果你们戒绝了这一切，那就好了。祝你们安好！”

领：愿天主怜悯我们，并祝福我们，以自己的慈颜容光，照耀我们！愿世人认识祂的道路，万民得知祂的救赎。

 

R. O God, let all the nations praise you!

【答】：天主，愿万民都称颂祢，愿列邦都赞美祢！

 

May the nations be glad and exult because you rule the peoples in equity; the nations on the earth you guide.

领：万民都要踊跃欢欣；祢以正义统治世人，且在地上领导万民。

【答】：天主，愿万民都称颂祢，愿列邦都赞美祢！

 

May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you! May God bless us, and may all the ends of the earth fear him!

Second Reading : REV 21:10-14, 22-23

读经二（天使将那从天上降下的圣城，指给我看。）

The angel took me in spirit to a great, high mountain and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God.

天使使我神魂超拔，把我带到一座又大又高的山上，将那从天上，由天主那里降下的圣城耶路撒冷，指给我看。

 

It gleamed with the splendor of God. Its radiance was like that of a precious stone, like jasper, clear as crystal.

这圣城具有天主的光荣；城的光辉，好似极贵重的宝石，又像水晶那么明亮的苍玉。

 

It had a massive, high wall, with twelve gates where twelve angels were stationed and on which names were inscribed, the names of the twelve tribes of the Israelites.

城墙高而且大，有十二座门；守门的有十二位天使。门上写着以色列子民十二支派的名字。

 

There were three gates facing east, three north, three south, and three west.

东面三门，北面三门，南面三门，西面三门。

 

The wall of the city had twelve courses of stones as its foundation, on which were inscribed the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

城墙有十二座基石，上面刻着羔羊的十二位宗徒的十二个名字。

 

I saw no temple in the city for its temple is the Lord God almighty and the Lamb.

在城内，我没有看见圣殿，因为上主全能的天主和羔羊，就是她的圣殿。

 

The city had no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gave it light, and its lamp was the Lamb.

那城也不需要太阳和月亮的光照，因为有天主的光荣照耀她；羔羊就是她的明灯。

Gospel JN 14:23-29

福音（圣神必要教训你们一切，也要使你们想起，我对你们所说的一切。）

恭读圣若望福音 14:23-29

 

Jesus said to his disciples: "Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.

那时候，耶稣对门徒说：“谁爱我，必遵守我的话，我父也必爱他，我们要到他那里去，并要在他那里，作我们的居所。

 

Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me. "

那不爱我的，就不遵守我的话。你们所听到的话，并不是我的，而是派遣我来的父的话。

 

I have told you this while I am with you. The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.

我还与你们在一起的时候，给你们讲论了这些事；但那护慰者，就是父因我的名，所要派遣来的圣神，祂必要教训你们一切，也要使你们想起，我对你们所说的一切。

 

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you.

我把平安留给你们，我将我的平安赐给你们；我所赐给你们的，不像世界所赐的一样。

 

Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. You heard me tell you, 'I am going away and I will come back to you.'

你们心里不要烦乱，也不要胆怯。你们听见我给你们说过：我去，但我还要回到你们这里来。

 

If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.

如果你们爱我，就该喜欢我往父那里去，因为父比我大。

 

And now I have told you this before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe."

现在，在事发生前，我就告诉了你们，为使你们在事发生时，能够相信。”
