First Reading: ACTS 18:1-8

读经一（保禄便留在他们那里工作，每逢安息日就在会堂里辩论。）

Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to leave Rome.

保禄离开雅典，来到了格林多。在那里遇见了一个犹太人，名叫阿桂拉，原藉本都，他同妻子普黎史拉最近从意大利来，因为喀劳狄曾命所有的犹太人都离开罗马。

 

He went to visit them and, because he practiced the same trade, stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.

保禄就投到他们那里，因为是同业，保禄便留在他们那里工作；原来他们是以制造帐幕为业的。

 

Every sabbath, he entered into discussions in the synagogue, attempting to convince both Jews and Greeks.

每逢安息日，保禄就在会堂里辩论，劝化犹太人和希腊人。

 

When Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul began to occupy himself totally with preaching the word, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus. When they opposed him and reviled him,

及至息拉和弟茂德从马其顿来到后，保禄就专心传道，向犹太人证明耶稣就是默西亚。可是，因为他们反对，而且说亵渎的话，

 

he shook out his garments and said to them, "Your blood be on your heads! I am clear of responsibility. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."

保禄就拂拭衣服向他们说：“你们的血归到你们头上，与我无干，从今以后，我要到外邦人那里去了。”

 

So he left there and went to a house belonging to a man named Titus Justus, a worshiper of God; his house was next to a synagogue.

于是离开那里，进了一个名叫弟铎犹斯托的家里，这人敬畏天主，他的家紧靠着会堂。

 

Crispus, the synagogue official, came to believe in the Lord along with his entire household, and many of the Corinthians who heard believed and were baptized.

会堂长克黎斯颇和他的全家都信了主，还有许多格林多人听了道而相信，也领了洗。

Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done wondrous deeds; His right hand has won victory for him, his holy arm.

领：请众向上主歌唱新歌，因为他行了奇事。他的右手和他的圣臂，为他获得了胜利。

 

R. The Lord has revealed to the nations his saving power.

【答】：上主将自己的救恩启示给万民。

 

The LORD has made his salvation known: in the sight of the nations he has revealed his justice. He has remembered his kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel.

领：上主已经宣布了自己的救恩，已将自己的正义启示给万民。他记起了自己的良善和忠诚，即向以色列家族广施的宽仁。

 

R. The Lord has revealed to the nations his saving power.

【答】：上主将自己的救恩启示给万民。

 

All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation by our God. Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; break into song; sing praise.

领：全球看见了我们天主的救恩。因此，普世大地，请向上主歌舞，请踊跃，请欢乐，弹琴演奏。

【答】：上主将自己的救恩启示给万民。

 

Gospel JN 16:16-20

福音（你们将要忧愁，但你们的忧愁却要变成喜乐。）

恭读圣若望福音 16:16-20

 

Jesus said to his disciples: "A little while and you will no longer see me, and again a little while later and you will see me."

那时候，耶稣对门徒说：“只有片时，你们就看不见我了；再过片时，你们又要看见我。”

 

So some of his disciples said to one another, "What does this mean that he is saying to us, 'A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me,' and 'Because I am going to the Father'?"

门徒中有几个彼此说：“他对我们说的：‘不久你们不再见到我；再不久，你们又要见到我。’还有‘我往父那里去’，是什么意思？”

 

So they said, "What is this 'little while' of which he speaks? We do not know what he means." Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him,

又说：“他说的这‘只有片时’，究竟有什么意思？我们不明白他讲什么？”耶稣看出他们愿意问他，

 

so he said to them, "Are you discussing with one another what I said, 'A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me'?

就对他们说：“你们不是彼此询问我所说的‘只有片时，你们就看不见我了；再过片时，你们又要看见我’的话吗？

 

Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy."

我实实在在告诉你们：你们要痛哭、哀号，世界却要欢乐；你们将要忧愁，但你们的忧愁却要变为喜乐。”
