First Reading: ACTS 19:1-8

读经一（你们信教的时候，领了圣神没有？）

恭读宗徒大事录 19:1-8

 

While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior of the country and down to Ephesus where he found some disciples.

阿颇罗在格林多的时候，保禄走遍了高原地带后，来到厄弗所，遇见了几个门徒，

 

He said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?"

向他们说：“你们信教的时候，领了圣神没有？”

 

They answered him, "We have never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit." He said, "How were you baptized?" They replied, "With the baptism of John."

他们回答说：“连有圣神，我们都没有听过。”保禄说：“那么，你们受的是什么洗？”他们说：“是若翰的洗。”

 

Paul then said, "John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus."

保禄说：“若翰授的是悔改的洗，他告诉百姓要信在他以后来的那一位，就是要信耶稣。”

 

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

他们听了，就因主耶稣之名领了洗。

 

And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. Altogether there were about twelve men.

保禄给他们覆手，圣神便降在他们身上，他们就讲各种语言，也说先知话。他们一共约有十二人。

 

He entered the synagogue, and for three months debated boldly with persuasive arguments about the Kingdom of God.

保禄进了会堂，放胆讲论，一连三个月，辩论天主之国的事，来劝化人。

God arises; his enemies are scattered, and those who hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so are they driven; as wax melts before the fire.

领：愿天主兴起，使他的仇敌四散，愿仇恨他的人由他面前逃窜！愿恶人在天主面前灭亡消散，就像烟被风吹、蜡被火化一般。

 

R. Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth.

【答】：普世万邦，请歌颂上主。

 

But the just rejoice and exult before God; they are glad and rejoice. Sing to God, chant praise to his name; whose name is the LORD.

领：义人要在天主面前踊跃欢乐，他们也必在愉快之中加倍喜悦。请你们向天主歌唱，咏赞他的圣名；他名叫雅威，应在他面前喜气盈盈。

【答】：普世万邦，请歌颂上主。

 

The father of orphans and the defender of widows is God in his holy dwelling. God gives a home to the forsaken; he leads forth prisoners to prosperity.

领：天主常在自己的圣所内居住，是孤儿的慈父，是寡妇的保护，天主给无靠的人备妥房屋，引被掳的人重获自由。

Gospel JN 16:29-33

福音（你们放心，我已战胜了世界。）

恭读圣若望福音 16:29-33

 

The disciples said to Jesus, "Now you are talking plainly, and not in any figure of speech.

那时候，众门徒对耶稣说：“看，现在你明明地讲论，不用什么比喻了。

 

Now we realize that you know everything and that you do not need to have anyone question you. Because of this we believe that you came from God."

现在，我们晓得你知道一切，不需要有人问你；因此，我们相信你是出于天主。”

 

Jesus answered them, "Do you believe now? Behold, the hour is coming and has arrived when each of you will be scattered to his own home and you will leave me alone.

耶稣回答说：“现在你们相信吗？看，时辰要来，且已来到，你们要被驱散，各人归各人的地方去，留下我独自一个，

 

But I am not alone, because the Father is with me. I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world."

其实我并不是独自一个，因为有父与我同在。我给你们讲了这一切，好使你们在我内获得平安。你们在世界上遭受窘迫，但放心吧！我已战胜了世界。”
