First Reading: IS 49:1-6

读经一（我要使你作万民的光明，使我的救恩达于地极。）

恭读依撒意亚先知书 49:1-6

 

Hear me, O coastlands, listen, O distant peoples. The LORD called me from birth, from my mother's womb he gave me my name.

诸岛屿，请听我！远方的人民，请静听！上主由母腹中，就召叫了我；自母胎中，就给我起了名字。

 

He made of me a sharp-edged sword and concealed me in the shadow of his arm. He made me a polished arrow, in his quiver he hid me.

他使我的口，好似利剑，将我掩护在他的庇荫下；使我像一支磨光的箭，将我隐藏在他的箭囊中。

 

You are my servant, he said to me, Israel, through whom I show my glory.

上主对我说：“以色列，你是我的仆人；我因你而自豪。”

 

Though I thought I had toiled in vain, and for nothing, uselessly, spent my strength, yet my reward is with the LORD, my recompense is with my God.

但是我说：“我白白勤劳了，我枉费了气力，而毫无益处；但是，我的权利是在上主那里，我的报酬在我的天主面前。”

 

For now the LORD has spoken who formed me as his servant from the womb, that Jacob may be brought back to him and Israel gathered to him; and I am made glorious in the sight of the LORD, and my God is now my strength!

我在上主眼中是光荣的；天主是我的力量。那由母胎中，形成我作他的仆人、将雅各伯领回他面前，并把以色列聚集在他面前的上主，

 

It is too little, he says, for you to be my servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and restore the survivors of Israel; I will make you a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.

现在说：“你作我的仆人，复兴雅各伯支派，领回以色列遗留下的人，还是小事，我更要使你作万民的光明，使我的救恩达于地极。”

【答】：上主，我赞美你，因我被造，惊奇神奥。

 

O LORD, you have probed me, you know me: you know when I sit and when I stand; you understand my thoughts from afar. My journeys and my rest you scrutinize, with all my ways you are familiar.

领：上主，你鉴察了我，也认清了我；我或坐或立，你全认清了我；你由远处，已明彻我的思考。我或行走，或躺卧，你已先知；我的一切行动，你完全熟悉。

 

R. I praise you, for I am wonderfully made.

【答】：上主，我赞美你，因我被造，惊奇神奥。

 

Truly you have formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother's womb. I give you thanks that I am fearfully, wonderfully made; wonderful are your works.

领：你造成了我的五脏六腑；你在我母胎中缔结了我。我赞美你，因我被造，惊奇神奥；你的工作，千奇万妙。

 

R. I praise you, for I am wonderfully made.

【答】：上主，我赞美你，因我被造，惊奇神奥。

 

My soul also you knew full well; nor was my frame unknown to you When I was made in secret, when I was fashioned in the depths of the earth.

领：我的生命，你全知晓。我何时在暗中成形，我何时在母胎中造成，我的骨骸你全知情。

【答】：上主，我赞美你，因我被造，惊奇神奥。

 

Second Reading : ACTS 13:22-26

读经二（这救恩之道正是给我们赐下的。）

In those days, Paul said: "God raised up David as king; of him God testified, I have found David, son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will carry out my every wish.

那时候，保禄在安提约基雅会堂，向犹太人说：“天主立了达味为君王，并为达味作证说：我找到了叶瑟的儿子达味；他是一个合我心意的人，他要履行我的一切旨意。

 

From this man's descendants God, according to his promise, has brought to Israel a savior, Jesus.

天主按照恩许，从达味的后裔中，给以色列兴起了一位救主：耶稣。

 

John heralded his coming by proclaiming a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel; and as John was completing his course, he would say, 'What do you suppose that I am? I am not he.

若翰在耶稣来临以前，先向全以色列民，宣讲了悔改的洗礼。“及至若翰将要完成自己的任务时，若翰说：我不是你们所猜想的那位，

 

Behold, one is coming after me; I am not worthy to unfasten the sandals of his feet.' "My brothers, sons of the family of Abraham, and those others among you who are God-fearing, to us this word of salvation has been sent."

但是，看，他在我以后要来，我不配解他脚上的鞋。“诸位仁人弟兄，亚巴郎的子孙，及你们敬畏天主的人！这救恩之道，正是为赐给我们的。”

When the time arrived for Elizabeth to have her child she gave birth to a son. Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown his great mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her.

依撒伯尔满了产期，就生了一个儿子。她的邻居和亲戚，听说上主向她大施仁慈，都和她一同欢乐。

 

When they came on the eighth day to circumcise the child, they were going to call him Zechariah after his father, but his mother said in reply, "No. He will be called John."

到了第八天，人们来为这孩子行割损礼，并愿意照他父亲的名字，叫他匝加利亚。他的母亲说：“不，要叫他若翰。”

 

But they answered her, "There is no one among your relatives who has this name." So they made signs, asking his father what he wished him to be called.

他们就向他母亲说：“在你亲族中，没有人叫这名字的。”他们便给孩子的父亲打手势，看他父亲愿意叫他什么名字。

 

He asked for a tablet and wrote, "John is his name," and all were amazed.

他父亲要了一块小板，写上：“若翰是他的名字。”

 

Immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue freed, and he spoke blessing God. Then fear came upon all their neighbors, and all these matters were discussed throughout the hill country of Judea.

众人都惊讶起来。匝加利亚的口和舌头，立刻开了，就开口赞美天主。于是，所有邻居，都满怀害怕之情；这一切事，就传遍了全犹大山区；

 

All who heard these things took them to heart, saying, "What, then, will this child be?" For surely the hand of the Lord was with him.

凡听见的人，都将这事存于心中，说：“这孩子将成为什么人物啊？”因为上主的手与他同在。

 

The child grew and became strong in spirit, and he was in the desert until the day of his manifestation to Israel.

这小孩渐渐长大，心神坚强。他住在荒野，直到他在以色列人前出现的日期。
