First Reading: Gn 18:1-15

读经一（为天主岂有难事？我要回到你这里，那时撒辣必有一个儿子。）

恭读创世纪 18:1-15

 

The LORD appeared to Abraham by the Terebinth of Mamre, as Abraham sat in the entrance of his tent, while the day was growing hot.

那时，亚巴郎坐在帐幕门口，上主在玛默勒橡树林那里，给他显现出来。

 

Looking up, he saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he ran from the entrance of the tent to greet them;

他举目一望，见有三人站在对面。他一见就由帐幕门囗跑去迎接他们，

 

and bowing to the ground, he said: “Sir, if I may ask you this favor, please do not go on past your servant.

俯伏在地，说：“我主，如果我蒙你垂爱，请你不要由你仆人这里走过去，

 

Let some water be brought, that you may bathe your feet, and then rest yourselves under the tree.

我叫人拿点水来，洗洗你们的脚，然后在树下休息休息。

 

Now that you have come this close to your servant, let me bring you a little food, that you may refresh yourselves; and afterward you may go on your way.”

你们既然路过你仆人这里，等我拿点饼来，吃点点心，然后再走。”

 

The men replied, “Very well, do as you have said.” Abraham hastened into the tent and told Sarah, “Quick, three measures of fine flour! Knead it and make rolls.”

他们答说：“就照你所说的做吧！”亚巴郎赶快进入帐幕，到撒辣前说：“你快拿三斗细面，和一和，作些饼。”

 

He ran to the herd, picked out a tender, choice steer, and gave it to a servant, who quickly prepared it.

遂又跑到牛群中，选了一头又嫩又肥的牛犊，交给仆人，要他赶快煮好。

 

Then Abraham got some curds and milk, as well as the steer that had been prepared, and set these before them; and he waited on them under the tree while they ate.

亚巴郎遂拿了凝乳和牛奶，及预备好了的牛犊，摆在他们面前；他们吃的时候，自己在树下侍候。

 

They asked him, “Where is your wife Sarah?” He replied, “There in the tent.”

他们对他说：“你的妻子撒辣在那里？”他答说：“在帐幕里。”

 

One of them said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah will then have a son.”

其中一位说：“明年此时我必回到你这里，那时，你的妻子撒辣要有一个儿子。”

 

Sarah was listening at the entrance of the tent, just behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in years, and Sarah had stopped having her womanly periods.

撒辣其时正在那人背后的帐幕门口窃听。亚巴郎和撒辣都已年老，年纪很大，而且撒辣的月经早已停止。

 

So Sarah laughed to herself and said, “Now that I am so withered and my husband is so old, am I still to have sexual pleasure?”

撒辣遂心里窃笑说：“现在我已衰老，同我年老的丈夫，还有这喜事吗？”

 

But the LORD said to Abraham: “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I really bear a child, old as I am?’ Is anything too marvelous for the LORD to do?

上主对亚巴郎说：“撒辣为什么笑？且说：像我这样老，真的还能生育？为上主岂有难事？

 

At the appointed time, about this time next year, I will return to you, and Sarah will have a son.”

明年这时，我必要回到你这里，那时撒辣必有一个儿子。”

 

Because she was afraid, Sarah dissembled, saying, “I didn’t laugh.” But he replied, “Yes you did.”

撒辣害怕了，否认说：“我没有笑。”但是那位说：“不，你实在笑了。”

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.

领：我的灵魂颂扬上主，我的心神欢跃于天主，我的救主。

【答】：上主回忆起自己的仁慈。

 

For he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name.

领：因为他垂顾了他婢女的卑微，今后万世万代都要称我有福；因全能者在我身上行了大事，他的名字是圣的。

 

R.  The Lord has remembered his mercy.

【答】：上主回忆起自己的仁慈。

 

He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.

领：他的仁慈世世代代于无穷世，赐与敬畏他的人。他曾使饥饿者饱飨美物，反使那富有者空手而去。

 

R.  The Lord has remembered his mercy.

【答】：上主回忆起自己的仁慈。

 

He has come to the help of his servant Israel for he has remembered his promise of mercy, The promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children for ever.

领：他曾回忆起自己的仁慈，扶助了他的仆人以色列，正如他向我们的祖先所说过的恩许，施恩于亚巴郎和他的子孙，直到永远。

 

R.  The Lord has remembered his mercy.

【答】：上主回忆起自己的仁慈。

 

Gospel Mt 8:5-17

福音（将有许多人从东方和西方来，同亚巴郎、依撒格、雅各伯一起坐席。）

When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully." He said to him, "I will come and cure him."

那时候，耶稣进了葛法翁，有一位百夫长前来到他跟前，求他说：“主！我的仆人瘫痪了，躺在家里，疼痛得很厉害。”耶稣对他说：“我去治好他。”

 

The centurion said in reply, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed.

百夫长答说：“主！我不堪当你到我舍下来，你只要说一句话，我的仆人就会好的。

 

For I too am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come here,' and he comes; and to my slave, 'Do this,' and he does it."

因为我虽是属人权下的人，但是我也有士兵属我权下；我对这个说：你去，他就去；对另一个说：你来，他就来；我对奴仆说：你作这个，他就作。”

 

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, "Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.

耶稣听了，非常诧异，就对跟随的人说：“我实在告诉你们：在以色列我从未遇见过一个人，有这样大的信心。

 

I say to you, many will come from the east and the west, and will recline with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the banquet in the Kingdom of heaven,

我给你们说：将有许多人从东方和西方来，同亚巴郎、依撒格和雅各伯在天国里一起坐席；

 

but the children of the Kingdom will be driven out into the outer darkness, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth."

本国的子民；反而被驱逐到外边黑暗里；那里有哀号和切齿。”

 

And Jesus said to the centurion, "You may go; as you have believed, let it be done for you." And at that very hour his servant was healed.

耶稣遂对百夫长说：“你回去，就照你所信的，给你成就吧！”仆人就在那时刻痊愈了。

 

Jesus entered the house of Peter, and saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand, the fever left her, and she rose and waited on him.

耶稣来到伯多禄家里，看见伯多禄的岳母躺着发烧，就摸了她的手，热症就从她身上退了。她便起来伺候他。

 

When it was evening, they brought him many who were possessed by demons, and he drove out the spirits by a word and cured all the sick, to fulfill what had been said by Isaiah the prophet: He took away our infirmities and bore our diseases.

到了晚上，人们给他送来了许多附魔的人，他一句话就驱逐了恶神；治好了一切有病的人。这样，就应验了那藉依撒意亚先知所说的话：“他承受我们的脆弱，担荷了我们的疾病。”
