First Reading: EX 16:1-5, 9-15

读经一（我要从天上给你们降下食物。）

The children of Israel set out from Elim, and came into the desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departure from the land of Egypt.

以色列子民全会众从厄林起程，来到厄林和西乃之间的欣旷野，时在离埃及后第二月第十五日。

 

Here in the desert the whole assembly of the children of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron.

以色列子民全会众在旷野里都抱怨梅瑟和亚郎。

 

The children of Israel said to them, "Would that we had died at the LORD's hand in the land of Egypt, as we sat by our fleshpots and ate our fill of bread!

以色列子民向他们说：“巴不得我们在埃及国坐在肉锅旁，有食物吃饱的时候，死在上主的手中！

 

But you had to lead us into this desert to make the whole community die of famine!"

你们领我们到这旷野里来，是想叫这全会众饿死啊！”

 

Then the LORD said to Moses, "I will now rain down bread from heaven for you.

上主向梅瑟说：“看，我要从天上给你们降下食物，

 

Each day the people are to go out and gather their daily portion; thus will I test them, to see whether they follow my instructions or not.

百姓要每天出去收集当日所需要的，为试探他们是否遵行我的法律。

 

On the sixth day, however, when they prepare what they bring in, let it be twice as much as they gather on the other days."

但到第六天，他们准备带回来的食物要比每天多一倍。”

 

Then Moses said to Aaron, "Tell the whole congregation of the children of Israel: Present yourselves before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling."

梅瑟向亚郎说：“你向以色列子民全会众说：你们应走到上主前，因为他听见了你们的怨言。”

 

When Aaron announced this to the whole assembly of the children of Israel, they turned toward the desert, and lo, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud!

亚郎正向以色列子民全会众说话的时候，他们转面朝向旷野，看见上主的荣耀显现在云彩中。

 

The LORD spoke to Moses and said, "I have heard the grumbling of the children of Israel.

那时上主向梅瑟说：“我听见了以色列子民的怨言。

 

Tell them: In the evening twilight you shall eat flesh, and in the morning you shall have your fill of bread, so that you may know that I, the LORD, am your God."

你给他们说：黄昏的时候你们要有肉吃，早晨要有食物吃饱，这样你们就知道，我是上主，你们的天主。”

 

In the evening quail came up and covered the camp. In the morning a dew lay all about the camp, and when the dew evaporated, there on the surface of the desert were fine flakes like hoarfrost on the ground.

到了晚上，有鹌鹑飞来，遮盖了营幕；到了早晨，营幕四周落了一层露水。露水升化之后，在旷野的地面上，留下稀薄的碎屑，稀薄得好像地上的霜。

 

On seeing it, the children of Israel asked one another, "What is this?" for they did not know what it was. But Moses told them, "This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat."

以色列子民一见，就彼此问说：“这是什么？”原来他们不知道这是什么。梅瑟告诉他们说：“这是上主赐给你们吃的食物。”

R.  The Lord gave them bread from heaven.

【答】：上主赏赐他的子民天上的食粮。

 

They tempted God in their hearts by demanding the food they craved. Yes, they spoke against God, saying, "Can God spread a table in the desert?"

领：他们在自己心内试探天主，要求满足自己贪欲的食物；并且出言反抗天主说：天主岂能设宴于沙漠？

 

R.  The Lord gave them bread from heaven.

【答】：上主赏赐他的子民天上的食粮。

 

Yet he commanded the skies above and the doors of heaven he opened; He rained manna upon them for food and gave them heavenly bread.

领：上主却仍命令云彩降下，打开了天上的门闸，给他们降下玛纳使他们有饭吃，此外给他们赏赐了天上的粮食。

 

R.  The Lord gave them bread from heaven.

【答】：上主赏赐他的子民天上的食粮。

 

Man ate the bread of angels, food he sent them in abundance. He stirred up the east wind in the heavens, and by his power brought on the south wind.

领：天使的食粮，世人可以享受，他又赐下食物，使他们饱足。他由高天激起了东风，以他的能力引出南风。

 

R.  The Lord gave them bread from heaven.

【答】：上主赏赐他的子民天上的食粮。

 

And he rained meat upon them like dust, and, like the sand of the sea, winged fowl, Which fell in the midst of their camp round about their tents.

领：他给他们降下鲜肉，多似微尘灰土，给他们降下飞禽，多似海岸沙数；降落在他们军营的中央，在他们帐幕的左右四方。

 

R.  The Lord gave them bread from heaven.

【答】：上主赏赐他的子民天上的食粮。

 

Gospel MT 13:1-9

福音（种子就结了一百倍的果实。）

On that day, Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd stood along the shore.

在那一天，耶稣从家里出来，坐在海边上，有许多群众集合到他跟前，他只得上船坐下，群众都站在岸上。

 

And he spoke to them at length in parables, saying: "A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and birds came and ate it up.

他就用比喻给他们讲论了许多事，说：“看，有个撒种的出去撒种；他撒种的时候，有的落在路旁，飞鸟来把它们吃了。

 

Some fell on rocky ground, where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep, and when the sun rose it was scorched, and it withered for lack of roots.

有的落在石头地里，那里没有多少土壤，因为所有的土壤不深，即刻发了芽，但太阳一出来，就被晒焦；又因为没有根，就枯干了。

 

Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it. But some seed fell on rich soil, and produced fruit, a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold. Whoever has ears ought to hear."

有的落在荆棘中，荆棘长起来，便把它们窒息了。有的落在好地里，就结了果实：有一百倍的，有六十倍的，有三十倍的。有耳的，听吧！”
