Memorial of Saints Martha, Mary, and Lazarus

First Reading: EX 33:7-11; 34:5B-9, 28

读经一（上主同梅瑟面对面地谈话。）

恭读出谷纪 33:7-11;34:5-9,28

 

The tent, which was called the meeting tent, Moses used to pitch at some distance away, outside the camp. Anyone who wished to consult the LORD would go to this meeting tent outside the camp.

梅瑟往往将那帐幕支搭在营外，离营远些；他称此帐幕为“会幕”。凡求问天主的，要到营外的帐幕那里。

 

Whenever Moses went out to the tent, the people would all rise and stand at the entrance of their own tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent.

每当梅瑟往会幕那里去的时候，众百姓都起来，每人站在自己的帐幕门口，观望梅瑟直到他进入会幕。

 

As Moses entered the tent, the column of cloud would come down and stand at its entrance while the LORD spoke with Moses.

当梅瑟进入会幕的时候，云柱降下，停在会幕门口，上主便同梅瑟谈话。

 

On seeing the column of cloud stand at the entrance of the tent, all the people would rise and worship at the entrance of their own tents.

众百姓一见云柱停在会幕门口，百姓就起来，俯伏在自己的帐幕门口。

 

The LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as one man speaks to another. Moses would then return to the camp, but his young assistant, Joshua, son of Nun, would not move out of the tent.

上主同梅瑟面对面地谈话，就如人同朋友谈话一样。梅瑟回营以后，他的侍从，一个年轻人，即农的儿子若苏厄总不离开会幕。

 

Moses stood there with the LORD and proclaimed his name, "LORD." Thus the LORD passed before him and cried out, "The LORD, the LORD, a merciful and gracious God,

上主乘云降下，站在梅瑟身旁，他便呼喊“雅威”名号。上主由他面前经过时，大声喊说：“雅威，雅威是慈悲宽仁的天主，

 

slow to anger and rich in kindness and fidelity, continuing his kindness for a thousand generations, and forgiving wickedness and crime and sin;

缓于发怒，富于慈爱忠诚，对万代的人保持仁爱，宽赦过犯、罪行和罪过，

 

yet not declaring the guilty guiltless, but punishing children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generation for their fathers' wickedness!"

但是决不豁免惩罚，父亲的过犯向子孙追讨，直到三代四代。”

 

Moses at once bowed down to the ground in worship. Then he said, "If I find favor with you, O LORD, do come along in our company.

梅瑟急忙俯伏在地朝拜，说：“我主，若是我真在你眼中得宠，求我主与我们同行；

 

This is indeed a stiff-necked people; yet pardon our wickedness and sins, and receive us as your own."

这百姓固然执拗，但求你宽免我们的过犯和罪恶，以我们为你的产业。”

 

So Moses stayed there with the LORD for forty days and forty nights, without eating any food or drinking any water, and he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

梅瑟在那里同上主一起，停留了四十天四十夜，没有吃饭，也没有喝水；把盟约的话，即十句话，写在石版上。

R.  The Lord is kind and merciful.

【答】：上主富于仁爱宽恕。

 

The LORD secures justice and the rights of all the oppressed. He has made known his ways to Moses, and his deeds to the children of Israel.

领：上主常行正义的工作，为受压迫者主持公道。上主曾将自己的道路告知梅瑟，给以色列子民彰显自己的功绩。

 

R.  The Lord is kind and merciful.

【答】：上主富于仁爱宽恕。

 

Merciful and gracious is the LORD, slow to anger and abounding in kindness. He will not always chide, nor does he keep his wrath forever.

领：上主富于仁爱宽恕，极其慈悲，迟于发怒。他决不会常常责问，也决不会世世愤恨。

 

R.  The Lord is kind and merciful.

【答】：上主富于仁爱宽恕。

 

Not according to our sins does he deal with us, nor does he requite us according to our crimes. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so surpassing is his kindness toward those who fear him.

领：他没有按我们的罪恶对待我们，也没有照我们的过犯向我们报复。就如上天距离下地有多么高，他待敬畏他者的慈爱也多高。

 

R.  The Lord is kind and merciful.

【答】：上主富于仁爱宽恕。

 

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he put our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.

领：就如东方距离西方有多么远，他使我们的罪离我们也多远；就如父亲怎样怜爱自己的儿女们，上主也怎样怜爱敬畏自己的人们。

 

R.  The Lord is kind and merciful.

【答】：上主富于仁爱宽恕。

 

Gospel Jn 11:19-27

福音（我信你是默西亚，生活的天主子。）

恭读圣若望福音  11:19-27

 

Many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them about their brother (Lazarus, who had died).

那时候，有许多犹太人，来到玛尔大和玛利亚那里，为了她们兄弟的死亡安慰她们。

 

When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went to meet him; but Mary sat at home.

玛尔大听说耶稣来了，便去迎接他；玛利亚仍然坐在家里。

 

Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.”

玛尔大对耶稣说：“若是你在这里，我的兄弟决不会死！就是现在，我也知道：你无论向天主求什么，天主必定赐给你。”

 

Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him, “I know he will rise, in the resurrection on the last day.”

耶稣对她说：“你的兄弟必定要复活。”玛尔大说：“我知道在末日复活时，他必定要复活。”

 

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and anyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

耶稣对她说：“我就是复活，我就是生命；信我的人，即便死了，仍然要活着；凡活着而信我的人，必永远不死。你相信吗？”

 

She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, the one who is coming into the world.”

她回答说：“是的，主，我信你是默西亚、天主子，要到世界上来的那一位。”
