Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

First Reading: Mi 5:1-4a

读经一（上主必将遗弃以色列人，直到孕妇生产之时。）

恭读米该亚先知书 5:1-4

 

The LORD says: You, Bethlehem-Ephrathah, too small to be among the clans of Judah, From you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel; Whose origin is from of old, from ancient times.

上主这样说：厄弗辣大的白冷！你在犹大郡邑中虽是最小的，但是，将由你为我生出一位统治以色列的人，他的来历源于亘古，远自永远的时代。

 

(Therefore the Lord will give them up, until the time when she who is to give birth has borne, And the rest of his brethren shall return to the children of Israel.)

因此上主必将遗弃他们，直到孕妇生产之时，那时他弟兄中的遗民必将归来，与以色列子民团聚。

 

He shall stand firm and shepherd his flock by the strength of the LORD, in the majestic name of the LORD, his God;

他必卓然屹立，以上主的能力及上主他的天主之名的威权，牧放自己的羊群。

 

And they shall remain, for now his greatness shall reach to the ends of the earth; he shall be peace.

他们将获得安居，因为他必大有权势，直达地极。他本人将是和平！

领：上主，我信赖你的爱怜，我的心灵因你的救援而欢愉。

Let me sing of the LORD, "He has been good to me."

Gospel  Mt 1:18-23

福音（在玛利亚内受生的，是出于圣神。）

恭读圣玛窦福音 1:18-23

 

Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit.

耶稣基督的诞生是这样的：他的母亲玛利亚许配给若瑟后，在同居前，她因圣神有孕的事已显示出来。

 

Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.

她的丈夫若瑟因是义人，不愿公开羞辱她，有意暗暗地休退她。

 

Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home.

当他在思虑这事时，看，在梦中上主的天使显现给他说：“达味之子若瑟，不要怕娶你的妻子玛利亚，

 

For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

因为那在她内受生的，是出于圣神。她要生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫耶稣，因为他要把自己的民族，由他们的罪恶中拯救出来。”

 

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means “God is with us.”

这一切事的发生，是为应验上主藉先知所说的话：“看，一位贞女将怀孕生子，人将称他的名字为厄玛奴耳，意思是：天主与我们同在。”
