恭读圣保禄宗徒致弟茂德前书 4:12-16

 

Beloved: Let no one have contempt for your youth, but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

亲爱的弟兄：不要让人小看你年轻；但要在言语和行为上，在爱德、信德和洁德上，做信徒的模范。

 

Until I arrive, attend to the reading, exhortation, and teaching.

直到我来时，你要专务宣读、劝勉和教导。

 

Do not neglect the gift you have, which was conferred on you through the prophetic word with the imposition of hands by the presbyterate.

不要疏忽你心内的神恩，即从前因预言，藉长老团的覆手赐予你的神恩。

 

Be diligent in these matters, be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident to everyone.

你要专心做这些事，全神贯注在这些事上，为使众人看出你的进步。

 

Attend to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in both tasks, for by doing so you will save  both yourself and those who listen to you.

应注意你自己和你的训言，在这些事上要坚持不变，因为你这样做，才能救你自己，又能救你的听众。

【答】：上主的作为确实伟大。

 

The works of his hands are faithful and just; sure are all his precepts, Reliable forever and ever, wrought in truth and equity.

领：上主的作为真诚公平，他的一切规诫坚定不移，为万世万代永远立定，全是基于真理和公正。

 

R. How great are the works of the Lord!

【答】：上主的作为确实伟大。

 

He has sent deliverance to his people; he has ratified his covenant forever; holy and awesome is his name.

领：上主速来救赎他的百姓，永远立定了他的盟约；他的名神圣可敬。

【答】：上主的作为确实伟大。

 

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; prudent are all who live by it. His praise endures forever.

领：敬畏上主﹐是智慧的开始；敬畏上主的人，算有智慧；上主的光荣，必定存留永世。

Gospel  Lk 7:36-50

福音（妇人的罪得了赦免，因为她爱的多。）

恭读圣路加福音 7:36-50

 

A certain Pharisee invited Jesus to dine with him, and he entered the Pharisee's house and reclined at table.

那时，有个法利塞人请耶稣同他吃饭。他进了那法利塞人的家中赴宴。

 

Now there was a sinful woman in the city who learned that he was at table in the house of the Pharisee.

那时，有个妇人，是城中的罪人，她一听说耶稣在法利塞人家中坐席，

 

Bringing an alabaster flask of ointment, she stood behind him at his feet weeping and began to bathe his feet with her tears.

就带着一玉瓶香液，来站在他背后，靠近他的脚哭了，用眼泪滴湿了他的脚，

 

Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and anointed them with the ointment.

用自己的头发擦干，又热切地口亲他的脚，以后抹上香液。

 

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner."

那请耶稣的法利塞人见了，就心里想：“这人若是先知，必定知道这个摸他的是谁，是怎样的女人：她是一个罪妇。”

 

Jesus said to him in reply, "Simon, I have something to say to you." "Tell me, teacher," he said. "Two people were in debt to a certain creditor; one owed five hundred days' wages and the other owed fifty.

耶稣发言对他说：“西满，我有一件事要向你说。”西满说：“师傅，请说吧！”“一个债主有两个债户：一个欠五百德纳；另一个欠五十。

 

Since they were unable to repay the debt, he forgave it for both. Which of them will love him more?"

因为他们都无力偿还，债主就开恩，赦免了他们二人。那么，他们中谁更爱他呢？”

 

Simon said in reply, "The one, I suppose, whose larger debt was forgiven." He said to him, "You have judged rightly."

西满答说：“我想是那多得恩赦的。”耶稣对他说：“你判断的正对。”

 

Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give me water for my feet, but she has bathed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

他遂转身向着那妇人，对西满说：“你看见这个妇人吗？我进了你的家，你没有给我水洗脚，她却用眼泪滴湿了我的脚，并用头发擦干。

 

You did not give me a kiss, but she has not ceased kissing my feet since the time I entered. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she anointed my feet with ointment.

你没有给我行口亲礼，但她自从我进来，就不断地口亲我的脚。你没有用油抹我的头，她却用香液抹了我的脚。

 

So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; hence, she has shown great love. But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little."

故此，我告诉你：她的许多罪得了赦免，因为她爱的多；但那少得赦免的，是爱的少。”

 

He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." The others at table said to themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?"

耶稣遂对妇人说：“你的罪得了赦免。”同席的人心中想道：“这人是谁？他竟然赦免罪过！”

 

But he said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

耶稣对妇人说：“你的信德救了你，平安回去吧！”
