First Reading: 1 Tm 6:13-16

读经一（你们必须遵守这训令，不受玷污，无可指摘，直到我们的主耶稣基督的显现。）

恭读圣保禄宗徒致弟茂德前书 6:13-16

 

Beloved: I charge you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who gave testimony under Pontius Pilate for the noble confession,

亲爱的弟兄：我在使万有生活的天主前，和曾对般雀比拉多宣发过美好誓言的基督耶稣前命令你，

 

to keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ

务要保守训令，不受玷污，无可指摘，直到我们的主耶稣基督的显现：

 

that the blessed and only ruler will make manifest at the proper time, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality,

在预定的时期使人看见这显现的，是那可赞颂的惟一全能者，万王之王，万主之主，是那独享不死不灭，

 

who dwells in unapproachable light, and whom no human being has seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal power. Amen.

住在不可接近的光中，没有人看见过，也不能看见的天主。愿尊崇和永远的威权归于他！亚孟。

领：普世大地，请向上主欢呼，要兴高采烈地事奉上主，走到上主面前，应该欢呼！

【答】：你们走到上主面前，应该欢呼！

 

Know that the LORD is God; he made us, his we are; his people, the flock he tends.

领：你们应该明认雅威就是天主，他造了我们，我们非他莫属，是他的人民，是他牧场的羊群。

【答】：你们走到上主面前，应该欢呼！

 

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, his courts with praise; Give thanks to him; bless his name.

领：高唱感恩歌，迈向他的大门；吟咏赞美诗，进入他的庭院，向他致谢，并赞美他的圣名。

For he is good: the LORD, whose kindness endures forever, and his faithfulness, to all generations.

领：因为上主良善宽仁，他的慈爱直到永恒，他的忠信世世常存。

Gospel Lk 8:4-15

福音（那在好地里的，是指那些把天主的话保存起来，以坚忍结出果实的人。）

恭读圣路加福音 8:4-15

 

When a large crowd gathered, with people from one town after another journeying to Jesus, he spoke in a parable. "A sower went out to sow his seed.

那时，有大伙群众聚集了来，并有从各城来到耶稣跟前的。耶稣就用比喻说：“有一个撒种子的，出去撒种子，

 

And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path and was trampled, and the birds of the sky ate it up. Some seed fell on rocky ground, and when it grew, it withered for lack of moisture.

他撒的时候，有的落在路旁，就被践踏了，并有天上的飞鸟把它吃了。有的落在石头上，一长起来，就干枯了，因为没有湿气。

 

Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it. And some seed fell on good soil, and when it grew, it produced fruit a hundredfold."

有的落在荆棘中，荆棘同它一起长起来，把它窒息了。又有的落在好地里，长起来，结了百倍的果实。”

 

After saying this, he called out, "Whoever has ears to hear ought to hear."

他说完这些话，就高呼说：“有耳听的，就听吧！”

 

Then his disciples asked him what the meaning of this parable might be. He answered, "Knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of God has been granted to you;

耶稣的门徒问他这比喻有什么意思。他说：“天主国的奥秘，是给你们知道的；

 

but to the rest, they are made known through parables so that they may look but not see, and hear but not understand.

对其余的人，就用比喻，使那看的，却看不见；听的，却听不懂。

 

This is the meaning of the parable. The seed is the word of God. Those on the path are the ones who have heard, but the Devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts that they may not believe and be saved.

这比喻的意思是：种子是天主的话。那些在路旁的，是指那些人听了，随后就有魔鬼来到，从他们心中把天主的话夺去，使他们不至信从而得救。

 

Those on rocky ground are the ones who, when they hear, receive the word with joy, but they have no root; they believe only for a time and fall away in time of temptation.

那些在石头上的，是指那些人，他们听的时候，高兴地接受天主的话，但这些人没有根，暂时相信，一到试探的时候，就退避了。

 

As for the seed that fell among thorns, they are the ones who have heard, but as they go along, they are choked by the anxieties and riches and pleasures of life, and they fail to produce mature fruit.

那落在荆棘中的，是指那些听了的人，还在中途就被挂虑、钱财及生活的逸乐所蒙蔽，没有结出成熟的果实。

 

But as for the seed that fell on rich soil, they are the ones who, when they have heard the word, embrace it with a generous and good heart, and bear fruit through perseverance."

那在好地里的，是指那些以善良和诚实的心倾听的人，他们把天主的话保存起来，以坚忍结出果实。”
