First Reading: EZR 6:7-8, 12B, 14-20

King Darius issued an order to the officials of West-of-Euphrates: “Let the governor and the elders of the Jews continue the work on that house of God; they are to rebuild it on its former site.

达理阿王向河西州州长及他的同僚下召令书，说：“不可干涉天主殿宇的工程，任凭犹太人的总督和犹太人的长老，在原处重建天主的殿宇。

 

I also issue this decree concerning your dealing with these elders of the Jews in the rebuilding of that house of God:

此外，我且颁下此旨，命令你们为协助犹太人的长老，修建天主的殿宇应行的事：

 

From the royal revenue, the taxes of West-of-Euphrates, let these men be repaid for their expenses, in full and without delay. I, Darius, have issued this decree; let it be carefully executed.”

由河西王库的赋税中，给那些人拨出充分的经费，不得有误！我达理阿颁布此令，应依照遵行！”

 

The elders of the Jews continued to make progress in the building, supported by the message of the prophets, Haggai and Zechariah, son of Iddo.

犹太人的长老遂继续修建，因着先知哈盖，和依多的儿子匝加利亚的鼓励，进行得很顺利；

 

They finished the building according to the command of the God of Israel and the decrees of Cyrus and Darius and of Artaxerxes, king of Persia.

如此他们遵照以色列天主的旨意，并按照波斯王居鲁士和达理阿的谕令，完成了建殿的工程。

 

They completed this house on the third day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.

圣殿完工的日期，是在达理阿王在位第六年，“阿达尔”月初三日。

 

The children of Israel–priests, Levites, and the other returned exiles–celebrated the dedication of this house of God with joy.

以色列子民、司祭、肋未人，和其余由充军归来的人，兴高采烈，为天主的圣殿举行了奉献礼。

 

For the dedication of this house of God, they offered one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, and four hundred lambs, together with twelve he-goats as a sin-offering for all Israel, in keeping with the number of the tribes of Israel.

他们为天主圣殿的奉献礼，奉献了牛犊一百头，公绵羊二百只，羔羊四百只；又照以色列支派的数目，奉献了十二只公山羊，为赎全以色列的罪。

 

Finally, they set up the priests in their classes and the Levites in their divisions for the service of God in Jerusalem, as is prescribed in the book of Moses.

他们又派定了司祭，按照他们的编制，肋未人按照他们的班次，在耶路撒冷值班事奉天主，全照梅瑟书上所记载的。

 

The exiles kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

由充军归来的子民，于正月十四日，举行了逾越节。

 

The Levites, every one of whom had purified himself for the occasion, sacrificed the Passover for the rest of the exiles, for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.

肋未人全都圣洁了自己；他们既已圣洁了，就为所有充军归来的人，并为他们的司祭兄弟和自己，宰杀了逾越节羔羊。

I rejoiced because they said to me, "We will go up to the house of the LORD." And now we have set foot within your gates, O Jerusalem.

领：我欢喜，因为有人向我说：我们要进入上主的圣殿！耶路撒冷！我们的双足已经站立在你的门口。

 

R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

【答】：我欢喜，因为有人向我说：我们要进入上主的圣殿！

 

Jerusalem, built as a city with compact unity. To it the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD.

领：耶路撒冷建筑得好似京城，确是内部划一整齐的京城。各支派，上主的各支派都齐集在那里。

 

R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

【答】：我欢喜，因为有人向我说：我们要进入上主的圣殿！

 

According to the decree for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD. In it are set up judgment seats, seats for the house of David.

领：他们按照以色列的法律称颂上主的名字。那里设立了执政的座席，那里有达味王室的宝座。

 

R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

【答】：我欢喜，因为有人向我说：我们要进入上主的圣殿！

The mother of Jesus and his brothers came to him but were unable to join him because of the crowd.

耶稣的母亲和兄弟到他这里来了，因为人多，不能与他相会。

 

He was told, "Your mother and your brothers are standing outside and they wish to see you."

有人告诉耶稣说：“你的母亲和你的兄弟站在外边，愿意见你。”

 

He said to them in reply, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it."

他却回答他们说：“听了天主的话而实行的，才是我的母亲和我的兄弟。”
