First Reading: NEH 8:1-4A, 5-6, 7B-12

读经一（厄斯德拉展开法律书，祝福了百姓，全民众回答说：“亚孟，亚孟！”）

The whole people gathered as one in the open space before the Water Gate, and they called upon Ezra the scribe to bring forth the book of the law of Moses which the LORD prescribed for Israel.

所有的人民，都一致聚集到水门前的广场上，要求厄斯德拉经师，拿出上主命以色列当遵守的梅瑟法律书来。

 

On the first day of the seventh month, therefore, Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly, which consisted of men, women, and those children old enough to understand.

厄斯德拉司祭便在七月一日，将法律书拿到会众前，即男女和所有能听懂的人前，

 

Standing at one end of the open place that was before the Water Gate, he read out of the book from daybreak until midday, in the presence of the men, the women, and those children old enough to understand; and all the people listened attentively to the book of the law.

在水门前的广场上，从早晨到中午，在男女和能听懂的人面前，宣读了法律，所有的人民都侧耳静听法律书。

 

Ezra the scribe stood on a wooden platform that had been made for the occasion. He opened the scroll so that all the people might see it (for he was standing higher up than any of the people); and, as he opened it, all the people rose.

厄斯德拉经师站在为此特备的木台上。厄斯德拉在众目注视之下展开了书 ── 因他高立在众人以上 ── 他展开书时，众人都立起来。

 

Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God, and all the people, their hands raised high, answered, "Amen, amen!" Then they bowed down and prostrated themselves before the LORD, their faces to the ground.

厄斯德拉先赞颂了上主，伟大的天主，全民众举手回答说：“亚孟，亚孟！”然后跪下，伏首至地，钦崇上主。

 

As the people remained in their places, Ezra read plainly from the book of the law of God, interpreting it so that all could understand what was read.

民众立在原处不动。厄斯德拉读一段天主的法律书，即作翻译和解释，如此民众可以懂清所诵读的。

 

Then Nehemiah, that is, His Excellency, and Ezra the priest-scribe and the Levites who were instructing the people said to all the people:

乃赫米雅省长和厄斯德拉司祭兼经师，以及教导民众的肋未人，向民众说：

 

"Today is holy to the LORD your God. Do not be sad, and do not weep"–for all the people were weeping as they heard the words of the law.

“今天是上主你们天主的圣日，你们不可忧愁哭泣！”因为全民众听了法律的话，都在哭泣。

 

He said further: "Go, eat rich foods and drink sweet drinks, and allot portions to those who had nothing prepared; for today is holy to our LORD.

为此，乃赫米雅又向他们说：“你们应去吃肥美的肉，喝甘甜的酒，且赠送一部分，给那些没有预备的人，因为今天是我主的圣日；

 

Do not be saddened this day, for rejoicing in the LORD must be your strength!" And the Levites quieted all the people, saying, "Hush, for today is holy, and you must not be saddened."

你们不可忧愁，因为喜乐于上主，就是你们的力量。”肋未人也安慰民众说：“你们要安静，因为今天是圣日，不应忧愁！”

 

Then all the people went to eat and drink, to distribute portions, and to celebrate with great joy, for they understood the words that had been expounded to them.

民众遂去吃喝，且赠送一部分给他人，大家异常欢乐，因为都明白了向他们所讲的话。

The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul; The decree of the LORD is trustworthy, giving wisdom to the simple.

领：上主的法律是完善的，能畅快人灵；上主的约章是忠诚的，能打开愚蒙。

 

R. The precepts of the Lord give joy to the heart.

【答】：上主的规诫是正直的，能悦乐心情。

 

The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The command of the LORD is clear, enlightening the eye;

领：上主的规诫是正直的，能悦乐心情；上主的命令是光明的，能烛照眼睛。

 

R. The precepts of the Lord give joy to the heart.

【答】：上主的规诫是正直的，能悦乐心情。

 

The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; The ordinances of the LORD are true, all of them just.

领：上主的训诲是纯洁的，永远常存；上主的判断是真实的，无不公允。

 

R. The precepts of the Lord give joy to the heart.

【答】：上主的规诫是正直的，能悦乐心情。

 

They are more precious than gold, than a heap of purest gold; Sweeter also than syrup or honey from the comb.

领：上主赐的一切比黄金，比极纯的黄金更可爱恋；比蜂蜜，比蜂巢的流汁更要甘甜。

【答】：上主的规诫是正直的，能悦乐心情。

 

Gospel Mt 18:1-5, 10

福音（他们的天使在天上常见我父的面。）

恭读圣玛窦福音18:1-5,10

 

The disciples approached Jesus and said, "Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?"

那时候，门徒来到耶稣跟前，说：“天国里究竟谁是最大的呢？”

 

He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.

耶稣叫了一个小孩站在他们中间说：“我实在告诉你们：你们若不变得像小孩子一样，决不能进入天国。

 

Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.

所以，谁若自谦自卑如同这一个小孩子，他在天国中就是最大的。无论谁因我的名字，收留一个这样的小孩子，就是收留我。

 

See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father."

你们要小心，不要轻视这些小孩中的一个，我告诉你们：他们的天使在天上，常常见到我天父的面。”
