Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time

First Reading: EX 17:8-13

读经一（当梅瑟高举双手时，以色列就打胜仗。）

In those days, Amalek came and waged war against Israel.

那时候，有阿玛肋克人，来到勒非丁，同以色列人作战。

 

Moses, therefore, said to Joshua, "Pick out certain men, and tomorrow go out and engage Amalek in battle. I will be standing on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand."

梅瑟向若苏厄说：“你给我们选拔壮丁，明天去同阿玛肋克作战。我手中拿着天主的棍杖，站在这山顶。”

 

So Joshua did as Moses told him: he engaged Amalek in battle after Moses had climbed to the top of the hill with Aaron and Hur.

若苏厄就照梅瑟吩咐他的作了，去同阿玛肋克作战；同时，梅瑟、亚郎和胡尔，上了那山顶。

 

As long as Moses kept his hands raised up, Israel had the better of the fight, but when he let his hands rest, Amalek had the better of the fight.

当梅瑟高举双手时，以色列就打胜仗；放下手的时候，阿玛肋克就打胜仗。

 

Moses' hands, however, grew tired; so they put a rock in place for him to sit on.

终于，梅瑟的手举得疲乏了。他们就搬了一块石头来，放在他后边，叫他坐下。

 

Meanwhile Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other, so that his hands remained steady till sunset.

亚郎和胡尔，一边一个，托着梅瑟的手：这样，他的双手举着不动，直到日落的时候。

 

And Joshua mowed down Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

于是，若苏厄用刀剑打败了阿玛肋克和他的人民。

领：我举目向圣山瞻望，我的救助来自何方？我的救助来自上主；他创造了天地。

【答】：我的救助来自上主；他创造了天地。

 

May he not suffer your foot to slip; may he slumber not who guards you: indeed he neither slumbers nor sleeps, the guardian of Israel.

领：他决不让你的脚滑倒；你的守护者，也决不睡觉。看，那保护以色列者，不打盹，也不会睡着。

 

R. Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

【答】：我的救助来自上主；他创造了天地。

 

The LORD is your guardian; the LORD is your shade; he is beside you at your right hand. The sun shall not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

领：上主站在你的右边，作你的护卫和保安。白天，太阳必不伤你；黑夜，月亮也不害你。

 

R. Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

【答】：我的救助来自上主；他创造了天地。

 

The LORD will guard you from all evil; he will guard your life. The LORD will guard your coming and your going, both now and forever.

领：上主保护你，免于任何灾患；上主保护你的心灵平安。上主保护你出外，保护你回来，从现在起，一直到永远的世代。

Second Reading : 2 TM 3:14-4:2

Beloved: Remain faithful to what you have learned and believed, because you know from whom you learned it, and that from infancy you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

亲爱的：你要坚持你所学和所信的；你知道你是由谁学来的。你自幼便通晓了圣经；这圣经能使你，凭着那在基督耶稣内的信德，获得得救的智慧。

 

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

凡受天主默感所写的圣经，为教训、为督责、为矫正、为教导人学正义，都是有益的，好使天主的人成全，适合行各种善工。

 

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingly power: proclaim the word;

我在天主，和那要审判生死者的基督耶稣面前，指着他的显现和他的国，恳求你：务要宣讲真道，

 

be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching.

不论顺境逆境，总要坚持不变；以百般的忍耐，及各样的教训，去反驳，去斥责，去劝勉。

Gospel LK 18:1-8

福音（天主所召选的人，日夜呼吁天主，天主岂能不为他们伸冤。）

恭读圣路加福音　18:1-8

 

Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary.

那时候，耶稣给门徒设了一个比喻，论及人应当时常祈祷，不要灰心。

 

He said, "There was a judge in a certain town who neither feared God nor respected any human being.

耶稣说：“某城中，曾有一个法官，不敬畏天主，也不敬重人。

 

And a widow in that town used to come to him and say, 'Render a just decision for me against my adversary.'

在那城中，另有一个寡妇，常去见那法官，说：请你制裁我的对头，给我伸冤吧！

 

For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, 'While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being,

那法官，多时不肯。以后，那法官心里想：我虽然不敬畏天主，也不敬重人。

 

because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.'"

但是，因为这个寡妇，时常来烦扰我，我还是为她伸冤，免得她不断来纠缠我。“

 

The Lord said, "Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them?

于是，主说：你们听听这个不义的法官，说了什么！天主所召选的人，日夜呼吁天主，天主岂能不为他们伸冤，而拖延俯听他们吗？

 

I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?"

我告诉你们：天主必要快快为他们伸冤。但是，人子来临时，能在世上找到信德吗？”
