Fourth Sunday of Advent

First Reading: IS 7:10-14

读经一（看，有位贞女要怀孕生子。）

恭读依撒意亚先知书　7:10-14

 

The LORD spoke to Ahaz, saying: Ask for a sign from the LORD, your God; let it be deep as the netherworld, or high as the sky!

那时候，上主又对阿哈次说：“你向上主、你的天主，要求一个征兆吧！或求诸阴府深处，或求诸上天高处。”

 

But Ahaz answered, "I will not ask!  I will not tempt the LORD!"

阿哈次回答说：“我不要求，我不愿试探上主。”

 

Then Isaiah said: Listen, O house of David! Is it not enough for you to weary people, must you also weary my God?

依撒意亚说：“达味的家族，你们听吧！你们使人厌恶还不够，还要使我的天主厌恶吗？

 

Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign: the virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel.

因此，吾主要亲自给你们一个征兆：看，有位贞女要怀孕生子，给他起名叫厄玛奴耳。”

The LORD's are the earth and its fullness; the world and those who dwell in it. For he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

领：大地和其中的万物，属于上主；世界和其间的居民，属于上主。是他在海洋上奠定了大地，是他在江河上创建了全世。

 

R. Let the Lord enter; he is king of glory.

【答】：光荣的君王要进入城内，他就是万军的上主。

 

Who can ascend the mountain of the LORD? or who may stand in his holy place? One whose hands are sinless, whose heart is clean, who desires not what is vain.

领：谁能登上上主的圣山？谁能居留在他的圣殿？是那手洁心清、不慕虚幻的人，是那不发假誓、不行欺骗的人。

 

R. Let the Lord enter; he is king of glory.

【答】：光荣的君王要进入城内，他就是万军的上主。

 

He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, a reward from God his savior. Such is the race that seeks for him, that seeks the face of the God of Jacob.

领：他必获得上主的祝福，和拯救者天主的报酬。这样的人，是寻求上主的苗裔，是追求雅各伯天主仪容的子息。

【答】：光荣的君王要进入城内，他就是万军的上主。

 

Second Reading : ROM 1:1-7

读经二（耶稣基督是达味的后裔，他是天主子。）

恭读圣保禄宗徒致罗马人书　1:1-7

 

Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God,

基督耶稣的仆人保禄，蒙召作宗徒，被选拔去传天主的福音。

 

which he promised previously through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, the gospel about his Son, descended from David according to the flesh,

这福音是天主先前藉自己的先知，在圣经中论及他的儿子、我们主耶稣基督，所预许的。他按肉身，是生于达味的后裔。

 

but established as Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness through resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

按至圣的神性，由于他从死者中复活，被立为具有大能的天主之子。

 

Through him we have received the grace of apostleship, to bring about the obedience of faith, for the sake of his name,

藉着他，我们领受了宗徒职务的恩宠，为使万民服从信德，以光荣他的圣名，

 

among all the Gentiles, among whom are you also, who are called to belong to Jesus Christ; to all the beloved of God in Rome, called to be holy.

其中也有你们这些蒙召属于耶稣基督的人。我保禄致书给一切住在罗马，为天主所钟爱，并蒙召为圣徒的人：

 

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

愿恩宠与平安，由我们的天主父，和我们的主耶稣基督，赐与你们。

Gospel  MT 1:18-24

福音（耶稣生于玛利亚，玛利亚许配于达味之子若瑟。）

恭读圣玛窦福音　1:18-24

 

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit.

耶稣基督的诞生是这样的：他的母亲玛利亚，许配于若瑟后，在同居前，因圣神有孕的事，已显示出来。

 

Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.

她的丈夫若瑟，因是义人，不愿公开羞辱她，有意暗暗休退她。

 

Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home.

当若瑟在思虑这事时，看，在梦中，上主的天使显现给他，说：“达味之子若瑟，不要怕，娶你的妻子玛利亚，

 

For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her.

因为在她内受生的，是出于圣神。

 

She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

她要生一个儿子；你要给他起名叫耶稣，因为他要把自己的民族，由他们的罪恶中拯救出来。”

 

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:

这一切事的发生，是为应验上主藉先知所说的话：

 

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means "God is with us."

有一位贞女，将怀孕生子，人将称他的名字为厄玛奴耳，意思是：天主与我们同在。

 

When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.

若瑟从梦中醒来，就照上主的天使所嘱咐的去做，娶了他的妻子。
