First Reading: 1 SM 4:1-11

读经一（以色列人大败，天主的约柜也被劫走了。）

恭读撒慕尔纪上 4:1-11

 

The Philistines gathered for an attack on Israel. Israel went out to engage them in battle and camped at Ebenezer, while the Philistines camped at Aphek.

那时，培肋舍特人集合起来攻打以色列人，以色列人便出来还击他们，在厄本厄则尔旁扎了营，当时培肋舍特人已在阿费克扎了营。

 

The Philistines then drew up in battle formation against Israel. After a fierce struggle Israel was defeated by the Philistines, who slew about four thousand men on the battlefield.

培肋舍特人就摆列阵势攻打以色列人，战斗十分激烈；以色列人为培肋舍特打败，在平原阵地上被击毙的约有四千人。

 

When the troops retired to the camp, the elders of Israel said, “Why has the LORD permitted us to be defeated today by the Philistines?

军队回营后，以色列的长老说：“为什么上主今天让我们被培肋舍特人打败？

 

Let us fetch the ark of the LORD from Shiloh that it may go into battle among us and save us from the grasp of our enemies.”

我们应从史罗把上主的约柜找来，让约柜来到我们中间，拯救我们摆脱敌人的压迫。”

 

So the people sent to Shiloh and brought from there the ark of the LORD of hosts, who is enthroned upon the cherubim. The two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were with the ark of God.

于是军队就派人到史罗去，从那里把坐于革鲁宾上的万军之上主的约柜抬来；厄里的两个儿子曷弗尼和丕乃哈斯也跟天主的约柜来了。

 

When the ark of the LORD arrived in the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly that the earth resounded. The Philistines, hearing the noise of shouting,

当上主的约柜来到营内的时候，全以色列民就大声欢呼，大地也震动了。培肋舍特人一听见这样的欢呼声，

 

asked, "What can this loud shouting in the camp of the Hebrews mean?" On learning that the ark of the LORD had come into the camp, the Philistines were frightened.

就说：“希伯来人在营中为什么这样大声欢呼？”后来才知道，是上主的约柜来到了他们的营中。培肋舍特人大为震惊，

 

They said, "Gods have come to their camp." They said also, "Woe to us! This has never happened before. Woe to us!

遂说：“希伯来人的神来到了他们的营中！”继而喊说：“我们有祸了！至今从未有过这样的事！我们有祸了！

 

Who can deliver us from the power of these mighty gods? These are the gods that struck the Egyptians with various plagues and with pestilence.

谁能从这大能的神手中救出我们呢？用各样灾祸在旷野中打击了埃及人的，就是这个神啊！

 

Take courage and be manly, Philistines; otherwise you will become slaves to the Hebrews, as they were your slaves. So fight manfully!”

培肋舍特人啊！你们应加强，要英勇，免得你们做希伯来人的奴才，像他们做过你们的奴才一样。你们要英勇，奋斗作战！”

 

The Philistines fought and Israel was defeated; every man fled to his own tent. It was a disastrous defeat, in which Israel lost thirty thousand foot soldiers.

培肋舍特人就开始进攻，以色列人大败，各自逃回了自己的营幕；的确是一场大屠杀，以色列人中阵亡的步兵有三万；

 

The ark of God was captured, and Eli's two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were among the dead.

天主的约柜也被劫了去，厄里的两个儿子曷弗尼和丕乃哈斯也同时阵亡了。

R. Redeem us, Lord, because of your mercy.

【答】：上主，因你的慈爱，求你拯救我们。

 

Yet now you have cast us off and put us in disgrace, and you go not forth with our armies. You have let us be driven back by our foes; those who hated us plundered us at will.

领：上主，现今你抛弃我们，使我们蒙羞受辱，你也不再与我们的军队，一同出征为伍；反而使我们在敌人前，转身败走，让那些憎恨我们的人，劫夺俘掳。

 

R. Redeem us, Lord, because of your mercy.

【答】：上主，因你的慈爱，求你拯救我们。

 

You made us the reproach of our neighbors, the mockery and the scorn of those around us. You made us a byword among the nations, a laughingstock among the peoples.

领：你使我们遭受邻邦的侮辱，四周人民对我们讽刺咒诅；你使我们成了异族的话柄，外邦人都向我们摇头热讽。

 

R. Redeem us, Lord, because of your mercy.

【答】：上主，因你的慈爱，求你拯救我们。

 

Why do you hide your face, forgetting our woe and our oppression? For our souls are bowed down to the dust, our bodies are pressed to the earth.

领：醒来！我主，你为什么依旧沉睡？起来！你不要永远把我们抛弃。你为什么掩起你的慈颜，不顾我们的痛苦和辛酸？

 

R. Redeem us, Lord, because of your mercy.

【答】：上主，因你的慈爱，求你拯救我们。

 

Gospel MK 1:40-45

福音（耶稣洁净了癞病人。）

恭读圣马尔谷福音 1:40-45

 

A leper came to him and kneeling down begged him and said, "If you wish, you can make me clean."

那时候，有一个癞病人来到耶稣跟前，跪下求他说：“你若愿意，就能洁净我。”

 

Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched the leper, and said to him, "I do will it. Be made clean."

耶稣动了怜悯的心，就伸手抚摸他，向他说：“我愿意，你洁净了吧！”

 

The leprosy left him immediately, and he was made clean. Then, warning him sternly, he dismissed him at once.

癞病立时脱离了他，他就洁净了。然后，耶稣严厉警告他，立即催他走，

 

Then he said to him, "See that you tell no one anything, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them."

并向他说：“当心！什么也不可告诉人，但去叫司祭检验你，并为你的洁净，奉献梅瑟所规定的，给他们当作证据。”

 

The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter. He spread the report abroad so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly.

但那人一出去，便开始极力宣扬，把这事传扬开了，以致耶稣不能再公然进城，

 

He remained outside in deserted places, and people kept coming to him from everywhere.

只好留在外边荒野的地方；但人们却从各处到他跟前来。
