There was a stalwart man from Benjamin named Kish, who was the son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Becorath, son of Aphiah, a Benjaminite.

本雅明支派有个人名叫克士，他是阿彼耳的儿子，阿彼耳是责洛尔的儿子，责洛尔是贝苛辣特的儿子，贝苛辣特是阿非亚的儿子；这本雅明人是个英勇的战士。

 

He had a son named Saul, who was a handsome young man. There was no other child of Israel more handsome than Saul; he stood head and shoulders above the people.

他有个儿子名叫撒乌耳，魁梧英俊，在以色列人中没有比他更俊美的，比所有的人高出一肩。

 

Now the asses of Saul's father, Kish, had wandered off. Kish said to his son Saul, "Take one of the servants with you and go out and hunt for the asses."

撒乌耳的父亲克士有几匹母驴，走迷了路，克士遂对儿子撒乌耳说：“你带一个仆人，起身去寻找那些驴。”

 

Accordingly they went through the hill country of Ephraim, and through the land of Shalishah.

他们走过了厄弗辣因山地和沙里沙地方，却没有找着；

 

Not finding them there, they continued through the land of Shaalim without success. They also went through the land of Benjamin, but they failed to find the animals.

又过了沙阿林地方，也没有找到；最后经过耶米尼地方，也不见踪影。

 

When Samuel caught sight of Saul, the LORD assured him, "This is the man of whom I told you; he is to govern my people."

撒慕尔一看见撒乌耳，上主就提醒他说：“看，这就是我曾对你提及的那人，他要统治我的百姓。”

 

Saul met Samuel in the gateway and said, "Please tell me where the seer lives." Samuel answered Saul: "I am the seer.

撒乌耳走到撒慕尔跟前，在城门洞中问他说：“请你告诉我，先见者的家在那里？”撒慕尔回答撒乌耳说：“我就是先见者；

 

Go up ahead of me to the high place and eat with me today. In the morning, before dismissing you, I will tell you whatever you wish."

请你在我以前上高丘去；你们今天要同我一起吃饭，明天早晨我打发你去，你心中所怀念的事，我会全告诉你。”

 

Then, from a flask he had with him, Samuel poured oil on Saul's head; he also kissed him, saying: "The LORD anoints you commander over his heritage.

撒慕尔拿出油具，把油倒在撒乌耳的头上，口吻他说：“不是上主给你傅油，立你作他百姓以色列的首领吗？

 

You are to govern the LORD's people Israel, and to save them from the grasp of their enemies roundabout.

是你要统治上主的百姓，从四周的仇人手中解救百姓。”

 

This will be the sign for you that the LORD has anointed you commander over his heritage.

(这是上主给你傅油立你为自己产业首领的先兆。)

O LORD, in your strength the king is glad; in your victory how greatly he rejoices! You have granted him his heart’s desire; you refused not the wish of his lips.

领：上主，君王因你的威能而欣喜，因你的救助狂欢而快乐无比。你满全了他心中的渴想，没有拒绝他口中的盼望。

 

R. Lord, in your strength the king is glad.

【答】：上主，君王因你的威能而欣喜。

 

For you welcomed him with goodly blessings, you placed on his head a crown of pure gold. He asked life of you: you gave him length of days forever and ever.

领：你已赐给了他超卓的福宠，且以纯金的冠冕加在他的头顶；他虽只向你乞求确保性命，你却赐他万世无疆的长生。

 

R. Lord, in your strength the king is glad.

【答】：上主，君王因你的威能而欣喜。

 

Great is his glory in your victory; majesty and splendor you conferred upon him. For you made him a blessing forever; you gladdened him with the joy of your face.

领：你协助他获得了伟大的光荣，你加给他无比的荣耀与尊崇；你使他成了万世的福源，使他在你面前踊跃喜欢。

 

R. Lord, in your strength the king is glad.

【答】：上主，君王因你的威能而欣喜。

 

Gospel MK 2:13-17

福音（耶稣不是来召义人，而是来召罪人。）

恭读圣马尔谷福音 2:13-17

 

Jesus went out along the sea. All the crowd came to him and he taught them. As he passed by, he saw Levi, son of Alphaeus, sitting at the customs post.

那时候，耶稣又出去，到了海边。群众都到他跟前，他便教训他们。当他前行时，看见阿耳斐的儿子肋未坐在税关上，

 

Jesus said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed Jesus.

便向他说："你跟随我吧！" 肋未就起来跟随了耶稣。

 

While he was at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners sat with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many who followed him.

当耶稣在肋未坐席的时候，有许多税吏和罪人，也与耶稣和他的门徒一起坐席，因为已有许多人跟随了他。

 

Some scribes who were Pharisees saw that Jesus was eating with sinners and tax collectors and said to his disciples, "Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?"

法利塞党的经师看见耶稣与罪人和税吏一起吃饭，就对他的门徒说：“怎么，他与罪人和税吏一起吃喝？”

 

Jesus heard this and said to them, "Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners."

耶稣听了，就对他们说："不是健康的人需要医生，而是有病的人；我不是来召义人，而是召罪人。"
