First Reading: Zep 2:3; 3:12-13

读经一（我必在你们中间留下谦逊贫苦的人民。）

恭读索福尼亚先知书  2:3; 3:12-13

 

Seek the LORD, all you humble of the earth, who have observed his law; seek justice, seek humility;

地方上所有遵守天主法律的卑微的人！你们要寻求上主，你们要追求公义，追求谦和。

 

perhaps you may be sheltered on the day of the LORD's anger.

这样也许在上主忿怒的日子，你们能脱身免祸。

 

But I will leave as a remnant in your midst a people humble and lowly, who shall take refuge in the name of the LORD: the remnant of Israel.

我要在你们当中留下谦逊贫苦的人，他们会依赖上主的名号。

 

They shall do no wrong and speak no lies; nor shall there be found in their mouths a deceitful tongue;

那些残存的以色列人民不再行邪恶，也不再说谎言；在他们的口里再也找不到欺诈的言语。

 

they shall pasture and couch their flocks with none to disturb them.

的确，他们或是牧放，或是休息，没有人来恐吓他们了。

The LORD keeps faith forever, secures justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets captives free.

领：上主为受压迫的人伸冤，他给饥饿的人食物，使囚犯获得自由。

 

R. Blessed are the poor in spirit; the kingdom of heaven is theirs!

【答】：神贫的人是有福的，因为天国是他们的。

 

The LORD gives sight to the blind; the LORD raises up those who were bowed down. The LORD loves the just; the LORD protects strangers.

领：上主使瞎子复明，上主使伛偻的人直身，使受欺压者挺身，上主眷爱义人。

 

R. Blessed are the poor in spirit; the kingdom of heaven is theirs!

【答】：神贫的人是有福的，因为天国是他们的。

 

The fatherless and the widow the LORD sustains, but the way of the wicked he thwarts. The LORD shall reign forever; your God, O Zion, through all generations. Alleluia.

领：上主保护旅客，扶助孤儿寡妇，使恶人迷失道路。上主将永世为王，熙雍的天主，万寿无疆。

Second Reading : 1 COR 1:26-31

读经二（天主召选了世上的懦弱者。）

恭读圣保禄宗徒致格林多人前书  1:26-31

 

Consider your own calling, brothers and sisters.

弟兄们，你们看一看，你们是怎样蒙召的：

 

Not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.

从人的观点看，你们当中有智慧的人并不多，有权势的人也不多，显贵的人更不多；

 

Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,

天主偏偏召选了世上愚拙的人，来羞辱那有智慧的；召选了世上懦弱的人，来羞辱那坚强的；

 

and God chose the lowly and despised of the world, those who count for nothing, to reduce to nothing those who are something,

甚而天主召选了世人认为卑贱的和受人轻视的，以及那些认为不足轻重的，来推翻那些被认为重要的。

 

so that no human being might boast before God.

这样，谁也不能在天主面前有所夸耀。

 

It is due to him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God,

你们得以与耶稣基督结合，全是由于天主；也是由于天主，基督成了我们的智慧、

 

as well as righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, so that, as it is written, "Whoever boasts, should boast in the Lord."

正义、圣化者和救赎者，如同经上所记载：“凡要夸耀的，该在主内夸耀！”

福音（神贫的人是有福的。）

恭读圣玛窦福音  5:1-12a

 

When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him.

那时候，耶稣看见群众，就上了山，坐下之后，他的门徒来到他跟前，

 

He began to teach them, saying: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

他就开口教训他们说：“神贫的人是有福的，因为天国是他们的。

 

Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.

哀恸的人是有福的，因为他们要得到安慰。温良的人是有福的，因为他们要承受土地。

 

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

慕义如饥似渴的人是有福的，因为他们要得饱饫。怜悯人的人是有福的，因为他们要受怜悯。

 

Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

心地纯洁的人是有福的，因为他们要看见天主。缔造和平的人是有福的，因为他们要称为天主的子女。

 

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

为义而受迫害的人是有福的，因为天国是他们的。

 

Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me.

人若为了我的缘故而辱骂、迫害你们，捏造各样坏话毁谤你们，你们是有福的。

 

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven."

你们欢喜踊跃吧！因为你们在天上的赏报是丰厚的。”
