First Reading: Ex 14:5-18

读经一（我向法郎大显神能的时候，埃及人将会知道我是上主。）

恭读出谷纪 14:5-18

 

When it was reported to the king of Egypt that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his servants changed their minds about them.

有人报告埃及王说：以色列子民逃走了。法郎和他的臣仆对那百姓改变了主意，

 

They exclaimed, “What have we done! Why, we have released Israel from our service!”

说：“我们做了什么？竟然放走以色列人，不再给我们服役！”

 

So Pharaoh made his chariots ready and mustered his soldiers six hundred first-class chariots and all the other chariots of Egypt, with warriors on the mall.

法郎遂命人准备他的车，亲自率领兵士，还带了六百辆精良战车和埃及所有的战车，每辆车上都有战士驾驶。

 

So obstinate had the LORD made Pharaoh that he pursued the children of Israel even while they were marching away in triumph.

上主使埃及王法郎心硬，在后追赶以色列子民；当以色列子民大胆前行的时候，

 

The Egyptians, then, pursued them; Pharaoh’s whole army, his horses, chariots and charioteers, caught up with them as they lay encamped by the sea, at Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon.

埃及人在后追赶他们，法郎所有的车马、骑士和步兵就在靠近丕哈希洛特 ── 巴耳责丰对面 ── 以色列子民安营的地方赶上了。

 

Pharaoh was already near when the children of Israel looked up and saw that the Egyptians were on the march in pursuit of them.

当法郎来近的时候，以色列子民举目，看见埃及人赶来，

 

In great fright they cried out to the LORD. And they complained to Moses, “Were there no burial places in Egypt that you had to bring us out here to die in the desert?

都十分恐惧，向上主哀号，也向梅瑟说：“你带我们死在旷野里，难道埃及没有坟墓吗？

 

Why did you do this to us? Why did you bring us out of Egypt? Did we not tell you this in Egypt, when we said, ‘Leave us alone. Let us serve the Egyptians’?

你为什么这样待我们，将我们从埃及领出来？我们在埃及不是对你说过这话：不要扰乱我们，我们甘愿服侍埃及人，

 

Far better for us to be the slaves of the Egyptians than to die in the desert.”

服侍埃及人比死在旷野里还好呀！”

 

But Moses answered the people, “Fear not! Stand your ground, and you will see the victory the LORD will win for you today.

梅瑟向百姓说：“你们不要害怕，站着别动，观看上主今天给你们施行的救恩，

 

These Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again. The LORD himself will fight for you; you have only to keep still.”

因为你们所见的埃及人，永远再见不到了。上主必替你们作战，你们应安静等待。”

 

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.

上主向梅瑟说：“你为什么向我哀号？你吩咐以色列子民起营前行。

 

And you, lift up your staff and, with hand outstretched over the sea, split the sea in two, that the children of Israel may pass through it on dry land.

你举起棍杖，把你的手伸到海上，分开海水，叫以色列子民在海中干地上走过。

 

But I will make the Egyptians so obstinate that they will go in after them. Then I will receive glory through Pharaoh and all his army, his chariots and charioteers.

你看，我要使埃及人心硬，在后追赶以色列子民；这样我好在法郎和他全军，战车和骑兵身上，大显神能。

 

The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I receive glory through Pharaoh and his chariots and charioteers.”

我向法郎，向他的战车和骑兵大显神能的时候，埃及人将会知道我是上主。”

I will sing to the LORD, for he is gloriously triumphant; horse and chariot he has cast into the sea. My strength and my courage is the LORD, and he has been my savior. He is my God, I praise him; the God of my father, I extol him.

领：我要歌颂上主，因他获得全胜，将马和骑士投于海中。上主是我的力量和保障，他作了我的救援。他是我的天主，我要颂扬他；他是我祖先的天主，我要赞美他。

 

R.  Let us sing to the Lord; he has covered himself in glory.

【答】：我要歌颂上主，因他获得全胜。

 

The LORD is a warrior, LORD is his name! Pharaoh’s chariots and army he hurled into the sea; the elite of his officers were submerged in the Red Sea.

领：上主是战士，名叫“雅威”。法郎的战车和军队，他投于海中，使他的良将沉于红海。

 

R.  Let us sing to the Lord; he has covered himself in glory.

【答】：我要歌颂上主，因他获得全胜。

 

The flood waters covered them, they sank into the depths like a stone. Your right hand, O LORD, magnificent in power, your right hand, O LORD, has shattered the enemy.

领：浪涛淹没了他们，像大石沉入海底。上主，你的右手大显神能；上主，你的右手击碎了敌人。

 

R.  Let us sing to the Lord; he has covered himself in glory.

【答】：我要歌颂上主，因他获得全胜。

 

Gospel Mt 12:38-42

福音（南方的女王，将同这一代人起来，而定他们的罪。）

恭读圣玛窦福音 12:38-42

 

Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.”

那时，有几个经师和法利塞人对耶稣说：“师傅，我们愿意你显示一个征兆给我们看。”

 

He said to them in reply, “An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet.

他回答他们说：“邪恶淫乱的世代要求征兆，但除了约纳先知的征兆外，必不给它其他的征兆。

 

Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

有如约纳曾在大鱼腹中三天三夜：同样，人子也要在地里三天三夜。

 

At the judgment, the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and there is something greater than Jonah here.

尼尼微人在审判时，将同这一代人起来，定他们的罪，因为尼尼微人因了约纳的宣讲而悔改了；看，这里有一位大于约纳的！

 

At the judgment the queen of the south will arise with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and there is something greater than Solomon here.”

南方的女王，在审判时，将同这一代人起来，而定他们的罪，因为她从地极而来，听撒罗满的智慧；看，这里有一位大于撒罗满的！”
